The euro climbed to its highest level since September 2021, reaching $1.1878 on Tuesday, as traders priced in a Federal Reserve rate cut. A German economic report also showed unexpectedly improved prospects, and the Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index approached its yearly lows.
A weaker dollar on Fed easing expectations generally supports US commodity prices in dollar terms and can lift export competitiveness for grains and oilseeds priced in other currencies.
