GBP/USD fell to a seven-month low of 1.3097 on Friday amid UK fiscal worries before the November budget. The move came as Fed officials sounded hawkish and CME FedWatch odds of a December cut fell to 63% from above 90% a week earlier.
Reduced Fed easing expectations support the dollar against sterling and other currencies, which affects the dollar cost of imported feed ingredients for UK buyers. The shift in rate-cut odds is the main driver of the currency move.
