China's yuan retreated from a near one-year high against the dollar after Trump and Xi concluded a roughly two-hour meeting in South Korea. Trump said he agreed to cut tariffs on China to 47% in exchange for resumed US soybean purchases, rare earths flows and fentanyl crackdown.
Chinese shares also pulled back from a decade high.
The deal framework supports resumed US soybean purchases, a bullish signal for soy complex and feed demand, though analysts see remaining differences. Currency moves are modest and mainly affect dollar-priced feed import costs.
