India's trade directorate DGFT lifted its export ban on de-oiled rice bran, a cattle feed ingredient, with immediate effect on October 3, 2025. The ban had been in place since mid-2023.
Edible oil industry body SEA had lobbied for the change.
Restored export access gives Indian rice bran supply an outlet abroad, which can ease domestic feed-ingredient prices and support processor margins. The effect on global feed prices is likely modest.
