The dollar slipped against the yen but was still heading for a broad weekly rise. A delayed US nonfarm payrolls report showed a mixed labour market and did little to change expectations for a Fed rate cut in December.
Dollar moves driven by Fed policy expectations feed into the value of dollar-denominated commodities, so the mixed jobs data leaves the near-term pressure on feed prices limited.
