Soybean and corn futures fell sharply after USDA's November Crop Production report lowered corn yield to 186 bpa and soybean yield to 53 bpa, both less than analysts expected. Soybeans had rallied to 17-month highs on a U.S.-China trade truce and yield hopes before the drop.
A less-bullish-than-expected USDA yield cut removes supply support, and the sell-off reflects profit-taking after a rally, pressuring feed grain and soymeal prices.
