Soybeans rose on March 31, 2026 on short covering, technical buying and a weaker dollar after the USDA acreage report showed planted area up 4% on the year, near the low end of estimates. Quarterly soybean stocks were slightly larger than expected, and soybean meal and oil futures gained while corn was steady to higher.
Lower soybean acreage than expected tightens the supply outlook, while higher corn stocks and a larger corn acreage cut are mixed for corn. Biofuel demand tied to RVO numbers supports soy oil and meal.
