Rystad Energy says the OPEC+ increase was larger than expected but stopped short of a forceful response. Saudi Arabia has already raised exports to their highest level in three years.
The analyst stresses that physical access to export routes matters more than headline output targets.
With roughly a fifth of global oil supply passing through Hormuz, flow constraints are the key price driver. The 206,000 bpd increase is small against demand above 100 million bpd, so it does not offset the disruption.
