OPEC+ countries agree to raise oil output by 206,000 bpd from May

Eight OPEC+ countries agreed to implement a 206,000 bpd production adjustment from the 1.65 million bpd voluntary cuts, effective May 2026. The statement said the volumes may be returned gradually depending on market conditions.

重要性

The adjustment is a paper increase that does not add barrels while shipping through Hormuz is blocked. Its real price effect depends on future reversals of voluntary cuts.
