Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's May Outlook raised its 2026-27 new-crop price projections, with canola up C$40/t and wheat up C$20/t from April. Barley and oats were raised by C$10/t and C$5/t, while flax, lentils, mustard, canary seed and chickpeas were lowered, chickpeas by C$100/t.
Higher Canadian projections for wheat, barley and oats point to firmer feed grain values in western Canada. Lower pulse forecasts suggest weaker prices for pulse-based feed ingredients.
