U.S. ethanol exports totaled 171.6 million gallons in April, below 200 million for the first time in six months, with declines in Canada, the EU and Brazil. Exports to South Korea rose 57% to a four-year high.
U.S. DDGS exports edged down 1% in April to 1.02 million metric tons, with Mexico and Indonesia lower and South Korea and Vietnam higher.
Softer ethanol shipments leave more product and corn in the domestic system, which weighs on corn demand. DDGS exports holding near 1 million tonnes support feed-ingredient demand, so the net effect on feed prices is limited.
