World Grain reports ABARES forecasts Australia's 2026-27 winter area at 23.6 million hectares, down 7%, with wheat output falling 26% to 26.7 million tonnes. Barley area is set to rise 4% to 5 million hectares on strong prices and lower fertiliser needs.
