Committee To Shape Farm Trade

The House Agriculture Committee held a hearing on June 10 on farm trade ahead of the first mandatory USMCA joint review due July 1, 2026. The US Trade Representative has said it will not recommend renewal without changes.

Bilateral US-Mexico talks are underway without Canada.

重要性

Congressional input and the USTR stance on renewal add uncertainty to farm export outlooks for corn, soybeans and dairy. The outcome will shape trade flows to Mexico and Canada.
