USDA's June 11 supply and demand report made only minimal changes, as expected. The US wheat carryout came in at 744 million bushels, below trade estimates of about 765 million.
Old-crop corn carryout was 2.145 billion bushels, about 7 million above expectations.
The wheat stock shortfall versus expectations is a modest supportive factor for wheat prices. The corn carryout above trade estimates is a small bearish factor, leaving the overall picture balanced.
