Seven OPEC+ countries agreed to increase oil production by 188,000 bpd for July 2026, the second consecutive month of this size. The group said the increases are not automatic and members can pause or reverse them.
The move continues the gradual unwinding of voluntary cuts introduced in April 2023.
The modest rise signals a slow return of supply, which is bearish over time but has little near-term effect while Gulf flows are disrupted. Energy costs for feed producers depend mainly on the Hormuz situation.
