USDA's Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report showed US fuel ethanol plants used 472 million bushels of corn in May 2026, up 10% from April and 6% from a year earlier. DDGS output rose 11% from April to 1.77 million metric tonnes, though it was slightly below May 2025.
Strong ethanol grind supports corn demand, while the rise in DDGS output adds feed supply and eases pressure on feed-ingredient prices.
