The French Ministry of Agriculture estimates soft wheat output at about 32 million tonnes, down 4%, while corn could fall 35% to around 9 million tonnes, the lowest since 1980. Heat during flowering in mid-July burned pollen and reduced ear fill, and corn yields are estimated 19% below last year.
