The US dollar slipped slightly against the Vietnamese dong on September 30, with Vietcombank selling the greenback at VND26,160. The dollar was still on track for its largest monthly rise against the euro in 14 months, supported by US growth and rising US yields.
A firmer dollar raises the local-currency cost of dollar-priced feed imports, and it tends to weigh on dollar-denominated grain and oilseed prices.
