China's suspension of DAP and MAP exports, announced in December 2025 and running to August 2026, has not been clearly lifted. Traders say exports may not resume this year because sulfur prices remain high and winter stockpiling starts in October.
Thai buyers are seeking other suppliers.
Continued Chinese export restrictions keep DAP supply tight and push buyers toward Morocco, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, supporting prices. Any resumption would depend on sulfur returning to pre-conflict levels.
