A Reuters poll of FX forecasters expects the US dollar's recent strength to fade. The greenback was lifted in recent weeks by a September Federal Reserve rate hike, and at one point rate futures priced nearly four more hikes.
A firmer dollar makes US feed grains and meal less competitive in export markets and tends to pressure dollar-denominated commodity prices. A forecast fade in dollar strength would ease that pressure.
