A panel at the NAFB Summer Agri-Business Meeting in St. Louis discussed the importance of inland waterways to global agriculture. Dennis Wilmsmeyer of America's Central Port said prolonged low water on the Mississippi had left a share of barge loads on the dock, cutting volumes and profits.
