Bird flu is spreading across Europe, with Poland reporting H5N1 outbreaks at six farms affecting about 650,000 birds, and cases also reported in Britain, France and the Netherlands. Separately, a new African swine fever genotype 1 variant was reported affecting China's pig herd in two provinces.
The Polish losses hit the EU's largest poultry producer and can cut European chicken and turkey supply, while the new ASF strain in China adds uncertainty to Chinese pork demand for feed.
