The 30th annual meeting of EU national reference laboratories for avian influenza and Newcastle disease took place in Venice from 10 to 11 October 2024. FAO outlined its work on global surveillance, early detection and biosecurity support, especially in vulnerable regions.
The meeting focuses on surveillance and control coordination rather than new outbreaks or trade actions. It has no direct effect on feed supply, demand or prices.
