GAPKI chairman Joko Supriyono said Indonesia's palm oil downstreaming is proceeding well, with unprocessed CPO exports falling to about 9% by September 2021. He credited export taxes and palm oil duties with driving the shift toward processed products such as RBD, oleochemicals and biodiesel.
Lower raw CPO exports and more processed output change the balance of palm oil supply across product categories. Government tax policy continues to shape palm oil export flows and prices.
