Indonesia's Trade Minister Regulation No. 30 of 2022 lifted the ban on crude palm oil and derivative exports, effective May 23, 2022. The regulation ended the export ban that had been in place earlier in the year.
The lifting of the ban restored Indonesian palm oil export flows, which eases global supply tightness and weighs on palm oil prices, though this is a 2022 policy that is now old news.
