RHB Research says Indonesia's levy hike to 10% on CPO, along with higher levies on refined palm oil and biodiesel, will generate more funds for biodiesel subsidies and replanting. The analysts estimate the hike lowers Indonesian planters' selling prices by RM108 per tonne.
Stable biodiesel funding could support global CPO prices, benefiting Malaysian producers, while Indonesian export costs rise and downstream price gaps narrow.
