The Advanced Biofuels Association cites a GlobalData Agri study saying EPA's proposal to halve RIN value for foreign feedstocks in the 2026-2027 RVOs could stall biomass-based diesel growth and raise consumer costs. The study says domestic feedstock is sufficient for projected 2026 and 2027 volumes.
Limiting access to imported feedstocks could cap biodiesel expansion and tighten fats and oils supplies, supporting vegetable oil prices while reducing demand for imported feedstock.
