EPA finalized Renewable Fuel Standard volumes for 2026 and 2027 at record levels, above the proposed rule. The rule sets total renewable fuel volumes of about 26.8 billion gallons for 2026 and over 27 billion for 2027, keeps the 15-billion-gallon conventional corn ethanol requirement, and reallocates 70% of waived small refinery exemption gallons.
Record blending mandates, especially for biomass-based diesel, increase demand for soybean oil and feedstocks, supporting soy prices and longer-term farm demand.
