China has begun purchasing U.S. soybeans for the coming marketing year, but its plans for U.S. corn remain unclear. Sales to China for 2021-22 were well below the prior year through late January.
Soybean purchases support U.S. soy prices and meal supply, while uncertainty over corn demand keeps that market exposed to downside risk.
