China imported 1.45 million tons of US soybeans in February, the most since June, according to customs data, after only 38,002 tons arrived in January. The arrivals are the first of a flurry of cargoes booked by state buyers following the late-October trade truce.
Large Chinese arrivals of US beans absorb export supply and support US soybean and meal prices, though a pending summit delay adds uncertainty to further purchases.
