Ukraine has sent around 80,000 tonnes of grain to the Romanian Black Sea port of Constanta, with more expected. The grain arrived by rail and by barge on the Danube, and the port says it can handle additional exports.
Growing rail and Danube routes through Romania partly offset the Black Sea blockade, modestly easing export bottlenecks and limiting upward pressure on grain prices.
