Russia withdrew support for the grain deal in late October after a drone attack on its Black Sea fleet, then re-engaged four days later. A record convoy moved through the corridor in the interim, and the renewal was agreed for 120 days with no major concessions to Ukraine or Russia.
Renewal keeps Ukrainian grain and fertiliser exports moving, which should ease global wheat and corn prices. Russia's push for sanctions relief on its own exports remains an unresolved risk.
