ADM Investor Services reported the same 24-hour Argentine transport strike, which blocked grain ships at Rosario. Unions protested layoffs, wages and plans to privatize Aerolineas Argentinas.
A separate bus strike was planned for the following day, while the other ports kept working normally.
Port delays at Rosario can briefly slow Argentine soymeal and grain exports, supporting nearby prices. The effect is temporary because the rest of the port was operating.
