Argentine oilseed unions and exporters failed to reach a wage agreement on June 24 after more than four hours of talks at the National Labor Secretariat. The unions' demand is a 20% wage increase, and a final hearing is set for June 25, just hours before the mandatory conciliation period expires.
A strike at Argentina's key oilseed export corridor would disrupt crushing and shipments of soybean meal and oil, tightening global supply and supporting meal and oil prices.
