Patria AgroNegocios reports Brazil's soybean planting at 30% as of late the previous week, behind 37.6% a year earlier, with Mato Grosso ahead and the northeast lagging. Some early-planted fields may need replanting after poor germination, and central Brazil heat is stressing the crop.
Replanting and heat stress raise the risk of lower Brazilian soy output, with Conab at 162 million tons and USDA at 163 million tons, supporting soybean prices. Rainfall in the dry areas will determine how much of that risk becomes actual yield loss.
