Farm Progress reviewed the 2021 U.S. corn season, which produced a good crop despite uneven weather including wet spring spells, cool early May and drought in some areas. Seed genetics director Dave Nanda credited better genetics, planter technology, GMO traits and fungicides for holding yields up.
Strong yields despite weather stress point to a sizeable U.S. corn supply, which is supportive of lower feed-grain prices for buyers.
