USDA's 2021 summary put the US corn crop at 15.1 billion bushels, a record 177 bu/acre yield. The soybean crop reached a record 4.44 billion bushels at 51.4 bu/acre, and 12 to 13 states set yield records.
Record corn and soybean output increases supplies for feed and crush, which pressures prices. Feed buyers should expect ample supplies through the 2021/22 marketing year.
