USDA cut its soybean production estimate by 153 million bushels, about 3% below the prior month's target, due to lower harvested area. The reported soybean yield of 50.5 bushels per acre came in below the trade expectation of 51.5.
A smaller-than-expected USDA soybean crop and yield tighten the balance sheet, which supports soybean, soybean meal and oil prices.
