Ukrainian barley port prices rose by $10-15/t in the past week to $200-205/t as wheat and corn rose on a US heat wave and lower US and Russian wheat forecasts. Forward prices for Ukrainian corn also increased.
Ukraine's barley harvest is projected at 9-12 million tonnes, with exports at 5-7 million tonnes.
Lower US and Russian wheat output and US heat stress support global feed grain prices, and Ukrainian barley and corn export values rise with them.
