StoneX's Arlan Suderman said USDA's August 2025 WASDE projected record US corn and soybean yields, with soybeans at 53.6 bushels per acre. USDA also raised corn acreage to 97.3 million acres, which pressured corn prices after the report.
Corn ending stocks were lifted to 2.117 billion bushels.
Record yields offset some supply concern, but the larger corn acreage and higher ending stocks weigh on corn prices. Soybean demand remains uncertain without Chinese buying, and Mexico's strong corn demand provides some support.
