Soybeans, corn and wheat futures rallied on fund and technical buying, with November soybeans reaching a two-year high. China bought 132,000 tons of 2020/21 US soybeans and 210,000 tons of US corn, and the corn purchase already exceeds USDA's full-year China import estimate.
A 100,000-ton US soymeal sale to unknown destinations was also reported.
Large Chinese purchases of US corn and soybeans tighten export availability and support futures and meal prices. Buying to bolster Chinese feed supplies after typhoon damage adds to the demand case, though delivery risk remains.
