The DTN average DDG spot price rose 1 cent to $143 per ton for the week ended January 18, with tight supplies supporting values. Cold weather and plant slowdowns have constrained supply, while soybean meal gains increased demand for DDG in livestock rations.
Ethanol plant output recovered above 1.0 million bpd.
Tight DDG supply and stronger soybean meal prices raise the cost of competing protein sources for feed buyers. Ethanol output recovery could ease supply later.
