Chicago corn and soybean futures fell on Friday in a broad commodity sell-off after Britain voted to leave the European Union. Investors moved out of risky assets, and the dollar and gold rallied.
The front-month Kansas City hard red winter wheat contract fell to a 10-year low.
A stronger dollar makes US-denominated grains more expensive for importers, which pressures futures and feed prices. Risk-off positioning added to selling that was already driven by rain relief for US crops.
