October nonfarm payrolls rose by 150,000, below the 180,000 expected, and the unemployment rate rose to 3.9%. US yields fell sharply, with the 2-year dropping toward 4.85% and the 10-year falling to 4.55%, and the Dollar Index fell to its lowest since September 20.
The weak payrolls report pushes the dollar lower and supports dollar-priced grain and feed prices, though softer US economic momentum may limit demand expectations.
