Live cattle and feeder cattle futures rallied sharply on oversold technicals, commercial buying and a discount to cash trade. China announced new tariff targets that include U.S. beef, but no start date was set.

Trade-war headlines added uncertainty, but the futures rebound was driven mainly by technical and positioning factors. Lower feeder prices relative to corn support feeding margins only if the tariff remains unimplemented.
