Company Overview Equine Balance™ is a potentiated cation exchange mineral, registered for horses as a feed additive with the Department of Agriculture. It is an inert substance ... that works only in the GI² tract (not absorbed into the blood). Via its enhanced CEC³, it is a free-radical scavenger and anti-oxidant. Equine Balance™ binds the following substances, which results in improved GI support and allows for an improved food conversion ratio, thereby improving the horses condition and performance:  Ammonia, nitrates and nitrites  Heavy metals like cadmium, lead and mercury  Histamine  Mycotoxins  Bacterial toxins e.g. E Coli exotoxin In clinical research Equine Balance™ demonstrated effective binding of the following mycotoxins;  Deoxynivalenol  Ochratoxin  Zearalenone Equine Balance™ is registered to assist and support horses with relief of GI symptoms and discomfort. It can be used preventively or in acute phases of the following conditions:  In the horse foregut, Equine Balance™ has shown to: o Reduce and assist in preventing gastric lesions in horses with stomach ulcers, with or without anti-inflammatories  In the horses hindgut, by reducing Hindgut Acidosis, Equine Balance™ : o Reduces the potential for “tying up”: by improving gut integrity, the horse has an increased ability to clear blood lactate during exercise and show quicker recovery. o Decreases and assists in preventing gastric ulceration in the hindgut o Balances the digestive system to reduce behavioural and performance issues, such as lethargy, irritability, grouchiness, difficulty in bending or collecting, and general discomfort in the horse o Reduces the absorption of endotoxins known to cause laminitis  Relief of symptoms associated with colic and gastric upset (discomfort, diarrhoea, cramps) in horses;  Mycotoxin Binder: Equine Balance™ absorbs mycotoxins that may lead to the horse developing colic.
