TRASCRIZIONE
Ukraine's grain rail link is choking. Rail grain deliveries to Greater Odesa ports fell 69.8% in a month, to about 10.3 thousand tonnes, according to Spike Brokers.
Why the drop?. Ukrainian Railways has banned grain wagons at several border crossings. That has restrained export shipments.
Bad timing: it's harvest. Lower rail and port throughput cuts Ukraine's export capacity just when the new crop is moving.
What buyers should watch. Tighter Ukrainian flows can support Black Sea wheat and corn values. If you buy either, keep an eye on the Odesa numbers.
