USDA's Milk Production report showed October 2017 US milk output up 1.4% year over year to 17.81 billion pounds. National cow numbers were 9.4 million, up 65,000 head, and milk per cow rose 12 pounds to 1,894 pounds.
Expanding milk output and herd size add supply to the market, which supports the bearish outlook for dairy prices and co-product values.
