The USDA's May 10 WASDE report showed higher soybean exports and significantly lower ending stocks than expected, at about 480 million bushels. Soybean yield is forecast at 48 bushels per acre, versus 52 last year.
The 2017-18 season-average price range was forecast at $8.30 to $10.30 per bushel.
A tighter-than-expected US soybean balance sheet, driven by strong demand from China, supports soybean and soybean meal prices.
