Feeder and stocker cattle sold $2 to $6 higher in the week ending November 25, with most steer calves under 600 pounds up to $10 higher. Receipts were 338,400 head, well above the prior week and the year-ago level, and buyer demand was very good.
Strong buyer demand for feeder cattle supports prices despite heavy supply, while winter grazing demand keeps calf values firm for feed buyers.
